At the Honuhele Academy, we support you with professional coaching, innovative teaching methods, and small group settings – all designed to make your wingfoil lessons fun, safe, and effective. And of course: Safety first! Your personal coach will guide you either from our motorboat or directly on the water via helmet radio communication. That way, you’ll always get focused, real-time support.
Our wing foil lessons in the Algarve take place in the calm lagoon of Alvor or directly on the open sea at Praia de Alvor and Praia da Fuseta – perfect spots with steady wind and water conditions for all skill levels.

Learn to wingfoil easily
We offer private wingfoil lessons with full gear and also small group sessions with up to 4 people – each fully equipped. We can also accommodate 2 small groups of 2 people, each group with shared coaching and full equipment per person.
Adventure Awaits: Enjoy every moment on the water
It’s super simple: You and your partner take turns using the wingfoiling equipment every 15 to 20 minutes. While one of you is riding, the other can rest, watch, and learn by observing. Enjoy this shared adventure and the fun of learning together – wingfoiling is all about the experience! Just relax and have a great time out on the water.
From Beginner to Wingfoiler – Your 3-Step Progress
Our wingfoil lessons are designed to get you riding fast in just three fun and easy steps!
Step 1: Wing Handling
After a short theory session covering the basics of wind, water and safety, you’ll quickly learn how to handle the wing. You’ll practice how to carry it, steer it, spin it, and catch the wind just right.
Step 2: Wing Surfing
Next, we hit the water! Wearing your wetsuit and life vest and equipped with a wing and a large SUP board, you’ll start refining your wing skills directly on the water. With light wind and smooth conditions, you’ll be wing surfing in no time. You’ll be amazed at how fast you progress - soon you’ll be gliding all on your own!
Step 3: Wing Foiling
Now it all comes together: You’ll learn how to control the wing on a foil board and soon you’ll be flying silently over the water - no motor, just wind and lift. Light, smooth, and almost weightless: this is the magic of wingfoiling. Congrats, you’re officially a wing foil surfer!

We schedule sessions based on the latest wind forecast and will inform you the day before
Wind is everything, so please stay flexible!
Full payment is required in advance to secure your spot. If there’s too little or too much wind, we’ll fully refund your course fee.
To ensure safety and effective learning, we teach no more than 4 students per course
Wing Foil Rental & Demo Equipment: Already advanced or a pro? You’re welcome to rent wingfoil gear or test different setups with us! We partner with various top brands to find the ideal setup for your perfect day on the water.
